Mask

In Psychology we had to make a mask of ourselves. The outside more being how others view us...this is what my parents and I were able to come up with.

The inside more how we view ourselves.

A closer view of the inside. I painted it gold becasue that is the color my personality test says I am and orange was my next highest, the reason for the ric-rac.

If you are really dying to know what somethings means, you can leave a comment, but I think for the most part it is pretty self explanitory, especially if you know me. :D Hope you enjoyed it.

I'm going to MORP!

What a clever idea!

As I picked it up, I knew it was too light to be what it claimed! The taped box confirmed it to me.
This is what I found inside. Shredded up bank statements! Luckily the paper I had to find was a little bigger and it was yellow. Stood out pretty well. The paper said ALMA on it. (I thought I was pretty clever getting out news paper to dump the paper onto, then you have a quick clean up job!)

Next time to open the plates. Inside the plates I found these... YUMMY!!! They are amazing. So moist and perfect, mmm mmm good!

Under the cookies I found this.

I was hoping there was another number so I wouldn't have to read the entire chapter, but I guess you never know!
Upon flipping the plate over I found another number, WOOT!
Now the question was is it Alma 27:18?or Alma 18:27?
Well I tried Alma 27:18 first which reads Now was not this exceeding joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of happiness.
So does this mean I'm not humble enough or he will go, but only if I'm humble? I decided I'd better try the other one just in case. Below is what it says.
I thought that was funny. I will blog the date too. Should be fun. We are planning to have a cookout at the camp grounds in Mantua and play some games! I'm glad he said yes, because the date is already planned! ha ha

Oh Henry

My cousin came down with her baby. He is so adorable! He has the biggest blue eyes and the longest thickest eyelashes. He is going to be a chick magnet!

I love little kids. Especially ones like him, he is always smiling and laughing. He never cries!

Temple

After a few setbacks we made it to the temple.
  1. 5 people=take the car...grandma has a doctors apt. in Logan, need to take the van
  2. 5 minutes before I plan to leave I head out to warm up the van, its covered in snow, we never cleaned it off because we didn't use the van yesterday. So now we not only have snow but because it had warmed up during the day and then got really cold at night, we have snow frozen to the windshield.
  3. The scraper breaks in the middle of scrapping off the van.
  4. After getting the van cleaned off I head out to pick people up, it is 7, the time we usually are getting on the freeway! Running about 15 minutes late.
  5. Get to Ashley's and realize the gas gage is on empty! So we have to go back to my house to get the card so we can get gas on our trip.
  6. Get to Clarissa's and wait a few minutes before she comes out. 20 minutes behind schedule
  7. Get to Kiela's and remember that I had forgotten to ask people if they had their recommends when we were at each of their houses, so I ask, Ashley forgot hers.
  8. We run to get Jessica so she doesn't think we forgot her and Ashley called her mom to get her recommend out for her. Her mom can't find it.
  9. We go get gas (heading away from the freeway, back to the center of town) in hopes that her mom can find it and this way we wont waste time.
  10. I want to get our discount on gas at Smiths but I can't remember our area code so I sit thinking for a minute and then I end up having to ask everyone in the van what it was.
  11. We finish filling up and Ashley's recommend still cant be found, so her mom comes to get her...we wait in the parking lot a few minutes.

12. Finally reach the temple, 45 minutes later than usual. You would think that is the end, but it is not. We enter and what would you know the waiting area is full! There were a couple wards there doing baptisms!

13. We made it through and got out of the temple at 9:20 or so. Kiela's school starts in 20 minutes, and she is usually late to school when we get out of there at 8:40 or so! I got everyone dropped of by about 9:40 and headed home in hopes to beat my carpool there and maybe get something to eat and some time to actually look good. (We always just pull our hair into a bun after and head out, we don't comb it or blow dry it, we just head out.)
Well, as luck would have it, Maddy and I pulled into my driveway at the same time. So I ran inside grabbed my backpack and we were off to school.

I am grateful that I have the chance to go to the temple a couple times a month, even if it requires waking up earlier than I do to go to school, running around, and being late. It is so worth it. The temple is such a blessing! I'm glad that I have such great friends that are willing to go with me.

Snow
What!?! Doesn't Mother Nature know that it is SPRINGTIME, not WINTER!

Are you serious!

You have got to be kidding me!

Grandma Hicken is so optimistic, I need to be more like her. We need the moisture! (But honestly couldn't it have come as rain?)
Flowers and snow....hmmm, for some reason I don't think these go together!

By morning we had over six inches of snow! Can you believe it? Kind of sickening.
Don't get me wrong I love every season and all types of weather, but they need to come when it is there turn. Snow in the winter, I love skiing and the snow is so pretty, but that only lasts so long before it is Springtime, time for rain and pretty flowers. After awhile it is summer time, the time for the sun to shine down constantly. Then comes fall with the leaves that fall and eventually winter makes it way back. It is perfect, but they need to stay within there three month limit, a little overlapping is okay, but a couple of months, honestly! I would love to get that snow in the mountains, and have it be like 70 degrees in the valley with rain. That would be just swell!
Trying to be optimistic:
One thing I truly love about late snow storms is that when the snow melts, the grass is green, not that nasty brown! :D

AP Calculus

Double Dare
Mr. Parker's class is amazing. We had a competition with math equations and then we had to do physical challenges as well, it was great!
In this event you had to stack ten papers high.

This one was hilarious. There was a penny at the bottom of each leg of the pantyhose and they had to get their arms in each leg, grab the penny and pull them out, sounds easy right? Well you couldn't use your other hand to help put on the pantyhose and take them off, you had to do it all without your left and right hands/arms touching at all! It was funny to watch them try to contort themselves to get those pantyhose off.

This was pretty entertaining. They had to get four cotton balls from one side of the room to the other, but you had to do it by putting Vaseline on your nose and getting the cotton balls to stick to your nose and then you had to find a way to get them off your nose, but you couldn't use your hands.

This one was probably the best one, hence the reason I have a video of it below the picture. I'd explain, but I'll let Mr. Parker do that, he does such a great job of it.

This is Shorty and Caitlin

This one was easy, too bad I didn't get this one. On this all you had to do was pull the tissues out of the box. See who could do it the fastest, but you could only pull one out at a time. Kind of funny.

This was interesting. You had string tied to both ends of a pencil and then as you see you wrap the string over your ears and pull the pencil up to your mouth. Placed on the pencil is three M&M's. Your goal is to get them into your mouth. If they fall off, you have to start over from ground level!

This one you had to get all the cups off the desk, but you had to blow up the balloon and use that air to knock the cups over it was a good one.

This one you had three balloons and you had to keep them in the air as long as you could, using only one hand. It is harder than it sounds.

This is the challenge that I got to participate in. Trying to knock over the cups with the pantyhose on my head that had a baseball in the end of one of the legs. It is not very easy, especially when your are laughing. At one point Mr. Parker told me that the elephants would be embarrassed. :D ha ha enjoy

As good as mine was, Mr. Davidson's was better. He came into our class randomly so we forced him to do it. It is a great video. (Oh and Mr. Parker turned the cups upside down on purpose, makes it practically impossible to knock them over, they just slide. You will see Davidson's frustration.)

On this physical challenge you had to bounce the waffle ball off of the desk and get it to land in the cups on the other desk. You had to be the first one to get two balls into the cups.

I love math!

Sunday...General Conference...EASTER!

Best buddies!

So excited about his BIG pancake!

Another child with a big happy pancake.

Look what the Easter Bunny left in my basket! Chocolate bunny!!!!

Eggs! I have eggs in my basket. (Funny how they find different things to be so excited about)

On the hunt!

Loving finding eggs!

We loved to watch him find those eggs, you will see why as you watch the video.

Good finder! I didn't think that she would be able to reach it!
A little distraught that there aren't anymore eggs to find.

Taking inventory of their finds.

Bound and determined to watch Dora. (Love how he holds it so he doesn't touch the wrong places)

Loving Dora together.

How the tie eggs turned out (really look at my sister Jenny's blog for the good pictures)

Chocoholic, what a messy little boy.

Egg toss!

Quite the event

Lots of fun, everyone joined in.

Landon loved being tossed around in the blankets

Daniel and Sharon decided to see how high they could throw their eggs. But the towel got yanked out of Sharon's hands and the the egg went flying. It was so funny! It landed on the roof and then a couple of seconds later you see chunks of egg rolling of the roof. Ha ha

Group contest, Daniel and Sharon always seemed to win, this picture may show us why... they threw theirs a little later so it looked higher in the end.

This is where Brian and Tony's egg ended up. a direct hit! The kids couldn't wait to get those eggs boiled, so grandma knowing better took them off a little early and let the kids have their fun.

A view of the rest of the egg... what a mess! ha ha, but it was so worth it. We had a blast.

I love spending time with my family, they are fabulous and we have so much fun.
